Web Store Information Gathering

Before we can setup your web store we need to know the answers to some questions that will help with the preparation.

1) Do you want to use your supplier to ship for you or will you be holding your own stock and shipping yourselves?
If you want to use your supplier, they will be notified to despatch the order automatically

2) What pricing would you initially like to go ahead with, would it be fixed price (i.e. +£10) Cost plus (i.e. 30%) or profit margin?
If you provide a generalised margin to be applied as a default across all products, this can be adjusted later by category or individual product.

3) What email address should be used to notify you of orders?
The system will automatically send an email to this address when an order is placed

4) What is your trading company address?
The trading address that should appear on the web store

5) What is your registered company address?
The registered company address is for our records

6) What is your registered company number?
The registered company number is for our records

7) What telephone number would you like to use for enquiries?
The number that you’d like customers to phone

8) Which users would you like to administer the web store?
Each person can have their own username or you can have a generic username if you wish. If you could provide me the full names and email addresses of everyone you would like as a user please.

9) Do you have a preferred password?
If you are going for a generic username would you like a particular password to go with it.

10) Can you provide a high-resolution version of your logo please?
If you could separately email this to logo@buzz-solutions.co.uk please.

11) Can you provide any imagery or key message for the banners please?
The banners on the home page are prominently placed to captivate attention. We can use ‘standard’ ones stating the benefits of the product or we can customise up to three banners with any imagery or a unique message for you if you wish.

12) What shipping options and costs would you like?
Your supplier may have specific options and prices. What shipping options and costs would you like to offer to your customers? For instance you could always have free shipping and swallow the cost, or at least swallow some and charge out at a smaller price or as tiered charges, it's up to you.

13) Do you already have a payment provider, if so who?
There are numerous payment providers, WorldPay, SagePay, PayPal and many more. If you already have an account we can use that, if not then we’d recommend PayPal to get you started.

14) Do you need an SSL certificate?
If you have a payment provider that allows you to take payments on site, rather than forwarding to another website, it will be in their agreement that you will need an SSL certificate. If so, let us know as we can arrange a certificate for one year for just £69.

15) Do you want us to do an initial customer import for you?
This will enable you to have all your customers in the system and to register them so they can login to place orders. You will need customers in the system to be able to assign them to On Account if you have On Account customers. Please send any files to information@buzz-solutions.co.uk

16) Do you have On Account credit customers?
If so, we will need to ensure they are uniquely identified if we do an import or you can assign them yourself from within the system, you simply change the group to ‘Account’

17) Do you want to allow both Guest and Registered Customers?
It is up to you whether you want people to checkout as guests or whether you would prefer everyone who places an order to register. You can do more with a registered customer such as email them through the system.

18) Do you have a Twitter account?
We can link the web store to Twitter so that people click the link on the site to go to your Twitter page, please provide your Twitter ID. If you don’t already have an account we can help you set one up, if you like.

19) Do you have a Facebook Page?
We can link the web store to Facebook so people can click the link on the site to go to your Facebook page, please provide your Facebook page link. If you don’t already have a page we can help you set one up, if you like.

20) Do you have a Google+ Page?
We can link the web store to Google+ so people can click the link on the site to go to your Google page, please provide your page ID. If you don’t already have an account we can help you set one up, if you like.

21) Can you provide a Google Analytics tracking code to us?
If you don’t know what this means, its basically a piece of code that Google supply to allow you to track site usage via Google Analytics. This page from Google may help, or if you prefer we can do this for you, let us know.

22) Do you intend to use live chat or live support?
Live support enables you to speak to customers through the internet and is a powerful way to get your foot in the door with a potential sale. If you intend to use this we'll need the integration details of the service you are going to use.

23) What domains would you like to use for the webstore?
If you could specify the domain you want to use and also point the domain at the web server CNAME of web1.buzzserver.co.uk. If you’re not sure how to do this, we can help.

24) Would you like guidance with your sales and marketing?
We work with a company called Tipton Marketing who can spend time with you to produce a customised marketing plan. If interested we can send you more information.

25) What would you like the main web store Title to be?
It can say whatever you want it to say. Its important for SEO and it will display in Google search results. (up to 60 characters length)

26) What would you like the main web store Description to be?
It can say whatever you want it to say. Its important for SEO and it will display in Google search results. (up to 160 characters)

27) What would you like your starting order number to be?
We normally start numbering at 1001, if you would like a specific number then please specify.

28) What would you like your starting invoice number to be?
We normally start numbering at 1001 with the prefix of INV (INV1001), if you would like this to be different please specify the prefix and number.

29) Do you have a VAT number?
We can show on invoices/emails if you wish.

30) What are your aspirations and hopes for the store?
This question helps us understand where you want the store to go and enables us to provide advice and suggestions tailored to helping you get to where you want to be.

31) Do you want all of the suppliers products or specific types or categories of products?
